Faculty Vacancy in Agriculture/Horticulture
The successful candidate must show a commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level and participate in Institute and Community service.
QUALIFICATIONS
The candidate must have a MSc (PhD preferred) in agriculture, horticulture, soil science, agronomy or a closely related field from an accredited Institution; a minimum of three years full-time teaching or research at the tertiary level; evidence of research and scholarship.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide excellence in teaching, research and practical applications in agriculture science, horticulture, crop production and management, soil science, agronomy, pest management, plant science and related courses; and may develop other specialized courses within the area of expertise to fill departmental needs; engage in high-quality, cutting-edge research, innovation and scholarship; assist in securing external grants and other funding opportunities; engage in curriculum review, revision and development; participate in student recruitment and academic advisement; faculty colloquia, serve on Institute and external committees.
