Landscape Engineer I

CORE FUNCTIONS

• Monitor and maintain the appearance of property grounds.
• Clean and repair fountains, planters, and other landscaping features.
• Install and care for flowers, bulbs, grass, trees, and shrubs.
• Water, weed, trim, and maintain flower beds and landscaping.
• Trim, prune, edge, and mow lawns and hard-to-reach grass areas.
• Install, operate, and maintain irrigation systems.
• Collect and bag trash from all exterior bins.
• Operate vehicles and equipment (e.g., dump trucks, tractors, utility vehicles).
• Wash, clean, and refuel landscaping equipment after use.
• Follow safety protocols; report accidents, hazards, and defective equipment.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to quality standards.
• Inspect tools and machinery for defects.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, stooping, and climbing.
• Navigate uneven or slippery surfaces and use ladders.
• Remove snow and maintain ice control (where applicable).
• Complete other duties as assigned by supervisors.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• License or Certification: Valid Driver’s License
