Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)

LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER INTECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING (TVET)

The successful candidate will be required to:

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in his or her respective areas of specialization;
• Take part in curriculum development, be involved in interdisciplinary collaboration, develop and implement innovative research;
• Advise and supervise students at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
• Make a significant contribution to the department’s research output;
• Undertake appropriate teaching and administrative load;
• Participate in campus-related and outreach activities.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• PhD or EdD in TVET or Workforce Education Studies;
• Professional Teacher Certification;
• Demonstrated scholarly research;
• Studies and/or experience in the use of technology in TVET and or WFD Studies;
• At least five (5) years’ experience of teaching in the related areas at the tertiary level.

Candidates who possess the following will be at a distinct advantage:

• General understanding of educational philosophy;
• Experience supervising undergraduate and graduate students;
• Evidence of prior grant acquisition;
• Administrative Experience within an Academic Institution;
• Evidence of curriculum development (face to face and distance delivery modes);
• Evidence of contribution to the Public Service OR field of study.
