The Belize Agricultural Health Authority invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions:

Veterinary Officer (2)

Minimum qualification and skills:

1.  Bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine and surgery;

2.  Registered veterinary surgeon in Belize (DVM);

3.  Computer literate particularly in Microsoft Suite, TADinfo, GIS. Knowledge of other related programs and software is an asset;

4.  Experience working in animal health in the agriculture industry.

2.  Strong public relations and inter-personal skills;

3.  Excellent written communication skills;

4.  Bilingual – fluent in spoken English and Spanish;

5.  Highly motivated team player who takes initiative;

6.  Valid class “A” driver’s license.

Job Summary: The Veterinary Officer of the Animal Health Department will be responsible for the technical and administrative functions, overseeing and coordinating various programs related to animal health, including the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and control of diseases.

Salary: BAHA Pay Scale 18: $31,189 x 1,359 – $57,021
