Accounting Clerk (FMG/AC 2)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Files accounting documents 
• Prepares Tax Withholding Certificates 
• Checks and verify bank statement 
• Checks and verify invoices 
• Assists in preparing cash book 
• Prepares purchase order 
• Verifies purchase of goods and supplies for the Centre 
• Verifies invoice for payment of goods received 
• Performs other related duties assigned from time to time 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Four (4) GCE O’ Level subjects (Grades A-C), CXC (General, Grades 1-3), SSC (Ranges 4 or 5), or City and Guilds Level 3 passes, including a numeric subject and English Language;
• Post-secondary Certificate in Accounting, and In-Service training courses in Government Accounting are assets; 
• At least two (2) years experience in an accounting related position. 

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of government accounting; 
• Knowledge of FAA Act; 
• Knowledge of accounting procedures; 
• Knowledge of Customer Service.

Special Condition Associated with the Job:

• Designated workplace is some distance from the main road
