Coordinates and promotes recreational activities, ensures guest safety, supports staff training, maintains equipment, enforces policies, and provides excellent guest service while adhering to safety and quality standards.

 

CORE FUNCTIONS

  • Create recreational activity agendas and advertisements using publishing software.
  • Conduct inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment; inform manager of low supply items.
  • Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests for recreation activities.
  • Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests.
  • Provide information about recreation facilities and activities.
  • Enforce facility rules and regulations to ensure guest safety and welfare.
  • Monitor activities and respond appropriately to emergencies per local procedures.
  • Identify guests unable to safely participate and inform supervisor/manager.
  • Assist injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
  • Clean and maintain recreational equipment and supplies.
  • Assist management in training, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as role model.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management; complete safety training.
  • Follow company policies, maintain professional appearance, and protect company assets.
  • Anticipate and address guests’ needs, including assisting individuals with disabilities.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally; answer telephones with proper etiquette.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers.
  • Process customer orders and payments as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and recommend improvements.
  • Read and verify information in various formats; visually inspect tools and equipment.
  • Use computers and point-of-sale systems for work-related tasks.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; safely handle objects weighing up to 25 pounds alone, over 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Use fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination to manipulate various objects.
  • Navigate narrow, confined, uneven, or slippery spaces, including stairs and ramps.
  • Perform reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping motions.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
