BTVI is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Administrative Assistant – Human Resources to support the Director of People and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the HR Department.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative support to the Director of People, including scheduling, communication management and task coordination.
  • Prepare memos, reports, presentations and meeting documents with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist with documentation for Council on Occupational Education (COE) and National Accreditation and Equivalency Council of The Bahamas (NAECOB) accreditation reviews.
  • Support preparation of Annual Reports and staff development documentation.
  • Maintain and update employee records, databases and HR files confidentially and accurately.
  • Track employee certificates and required documentation.
  • Organise meetings, appointments and departmental schedules.
  • Serve as the primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with project deadlines and deliverables.
  • Uphold confidentiality and support HR compliance standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of People.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar administrative role
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in a similar role

 

Specialised Knowledge

  • Standard business documents and formats
  • Office equipment operation
  • Experience with Labour Management software (an asset)
