The incumbent processes foreign securities transactions, monitors institutional compliance, analyzes interest rates, and manages foreign reserves reporting.

 

CORE FUNCTIONS:

  • Facilitate the accurate and timely processing and settlement of money market transactions and foreign securities in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Monitor depository institutions to ensure full compliance with minimum credit quality ratings in accordance with provisions outlined under the Bank’s Investment Policy and Guidelines. The development of continuous monitoring techniques are critical to this role.
  • Provide regular analysis and weekly reporting on interest rates and discounts available on asset classes provisioned by the Bank’s Investment Policies and Guidelines.
  • Manage the Foreign Reserves Analytics regime to promote a clear, relevant reporting structure for internally and externally managed portfolios in accordance with management’s decision making needs.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/economics from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Working knowledge of global benchmarking practices and sovereign debt markets.
  • Experience in a front, middle, or back office would be an asset.
  • Working knowledge of foreign exchange markets and spot rate structures.
  • Working knowledge of relevant spreadsheet applications.
  • Three years related experience.
