The Corporate Secretary provides essential secretarial and legal support to the Board, ensuring accurate record-keeping, regulatory compliance, and the timely provision of key documentation for effective organizational governance.

 

JOB PURPOSE

The incumbent is required to provide effective Corporate Secretarial Services for the operations of the Authority's Board of Directors and designed Sub-Committees and to ensure that the Legal, Statutory and other provisions affecting the Authority are observed.

 

KEY FUNCTIONS

  • Records Minutes and Decisions of meetings of the Board.
  • Maintains accurate records of all proceedings.
  • Provides the Board with concise documents, forecasts and financial statements.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant statutes and regulations.
  • Possession of Corporate Seal, Books and Records.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Possession of a LLB.
  • Legal Education Certificate (LEC) would be an asset.
  • Certification in Corporate Secretarial Services would be an asset.
  • A Diploma in Business Administration or Management would be an asset.
  • At least five (5) years progressive experience in Law.
  • Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of qualifications, training and experience. Interested candidates are asked to submit their Curriculum Vitae with copies of all relevant academic certificates.
