The incumbent supports property maintenance by responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive and routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing building systems, maintaining inventory, and ensuring safety compliance.

 

CORE FUNCTIONS

Guest Service & Communication

  • Respond promptly to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Communicate daily activities and problems across shifts using approved systems.
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests, assist with needs, and ensure satisfaction.

Preventive & Routine Maintenance

  • Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen, and mechanical equipment.
  • Inspect tools, machines, and systems for safety and efficiency.
  • Carry out painting, drywall/wood trim repairs, light bulb and A/C filter replacements.
  • Maintain landscaping and sprinkler systems.

Repairs & Technical Tasks

  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and general building systems.
  • Program TVs, repair internet devices, replace outlets/switches, and support kitchen equipment.
  • Operate shut-off valves for utilities and use Lockout/Tagout system for safety.

Inventory & Supplies

  • Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts, and perform housekeeping/engineering inventory duties.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow safety and security protocols, report hazards, and complete training.
  • Store flammable materials safely and ensure adherence to standards.

Professional Standards

  • Maintain clean, professional appearance and confidentiality of company information.
  • Use clear, professional communication and build positive team relationships.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift/move objects up to 50 lbs (with/without assistance).
  • Climb stairs/ladders, bend, twist, stoop, and perform extended physical tasks.
  • Enter and manage work-related data using computers.

Other Duties

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent.
  • Related Work Experience: Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting.
  • Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus.
  • Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience. 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • License or Certification: Driver’s License
