The incumbent supports housekeeping operations by inspecting rooms, resolving discrepancies, coordinating across departments, assisting management with staff supervision, ensuring guest satisfaction, and performing physical housekeeping tasks.

 

CORE FUNCTIONS

Room and Quality Inspection

  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and pool after cleaning to ensure standards.
  • Run sold room reports, verify room status, identify and resolve discrepant rooms.
  • Prioritize cleaning schedules and update status of departing guest rooms.
  • Document and resolve issues with Front Desk and communicate to next shift.

Coordination and Communication

  • Act as liaison between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry.
  • Prepare, distribute, and communicate room assignment changes.
  • Complete required reports and paperwork.

Management Support

  • Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating staff.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, safety, and security procedures.

Guest Service

  • Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate service needs, and thank guests.
  • Assist individuals with disabilities and resolve concerns professionally.

Professional Standards

  • Maintain confidentiality, protect company assets, and uphold professional appearance.
  • Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards.

Physical and Technical Requirements

  • Move, lift, and carry objects up to 55 pounds (with or without assistance).
  • Push/pull housekeeping carts and machinery over uneven surfaces.
  • Stand, walk, kneel, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
  • Use computers/point-of-sale systems and verify written information.

Other Duties

  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by supervisors.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

  • Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
