The Infrastructure Support Analyst I maintains and administers the Bank's network, end-user systems, and hardware, while providing technical support and collaborating with staff and vendors.

 

Position Overview:

The Infrastructure Support Analyst I is responsible for executing the objectives of the department as directed by the Supervisor. Core functions include the maintenance, technical management, and administration of the Bank’s network and communication infrastructure, end-user systems, and all computer-related hardware. The role requires regular interaction with staff across the Bank, as well as engagement with external IT vendors. The incumbent must demonstrate adaptability to emerging technologies and possess strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to effectively support the Bank’s network environment.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support via the Service Desk for all incidents and issues related to the Bank’s infrastructure and user system accessibility.
  • Maintain and support the Bank’s networking systems, servers, and computing equipment, including hardware, printers, communications systems, operating systems, and end-user platforms.
  • Perform maintenance on computer hardware and operating systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Configure and manage physical security card access rights in accordance with established protocols.
  • Serve as a project support resource for unit-related initiatives and technology projects.
  • Configure, test, and verify the setup of user systems (PCs, laptops, phones, etc.) prior to deployment.
  • Provide preventative maintenance and repair services by liaising with vendors, following technical procedures, and identifying and resolving equipment or system failures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues, including servers, cabling, routers, switches, and intra- and inter-branch communication devices.
  • Monitor and administer the Bank’s WAN/LAN devices, PCs, printers, telecommunications infrastructure, and security devices/solutions.
  • Assist in the implementation of new technologies and information systems by providing input for rollout plans, supporting technical risk assessments, and evaluating proposed solutions.
  • Support the Manager in the development, documentation, and maintenance of technical standards and operational procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Management in support of departmental objectives.


Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; industry-standard networking certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA) are required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in network systems support, infrastructure management, or a similar technical role (experience requirements may vary by job grade: Levels I, II, or III).
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems to provide help desk support and troubleshoot both end-user and back-office systems.
  • Working knowledge of networking technologies and protocols, particularly those utilized by the Bank, to diagnose and resolve network-related issues.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer hardware, including the ability to perform hardware repairs, installations, and upgrades.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills to assess technical issues, evaluate alternatives, and provide sound recommendations.
  • Understanding of the Bank’s information reporting requirements to effectively prioritize data retrieval and system support tasks.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to explain technical concepts to end-users, support technology planning with the Supervisor, and collaborate effectively with IT vendors.
