Responsible for providing environmental support services for the Vector Control Unit.

 

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Secondary school certificate or equivalent qualifications 

Plus 

  • Minimum of four (4) years working experience within a similar position 

 

Required Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

  • Good interpersonal skills 
  • Good oral and written communications skills 
  • Good customer service skills 
  • Working knowledge of established pesticidal standards 
  • Ability to adapt to changes and new tasks 

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing larvicidal and adulticidal work in the control of mosquitoes. 
  • Applying abate to containers use to store water for domestic purposes. 
  • Applying treatment to breeding sites to contain and prevent continuous breeding of mosquitoes. 
  • Performing Rodent and insect control at public buildings. 
  • Providing basic maintenance to equipment and mixing of material used for oiling and fogging.
  • Performing other related duties that may be assigned by supervisor. 

 

Working Conditions:

  • Field work and office hours 
  • May be required to work at nights on occasions
