The Lead Supervisor, Centralized Treasury is responsible for the daily oversight and coordination of centralized treasury operations that support branch activities, off-site ATMs, and internal departments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of Centralized Treasury operations to ensure accurate, timely, and secure handling of high-volume cash and transaction activities.
  • Distribute workflow effectively among team members to maximize productivity while maintaining service standards and operational efficiency.
  • Supervise treasury staff by coaching, scheduling, auditing work, and ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and custody controls.
  • Manage centralized cash administration, including monitoring cash levels, balancing treasury suspense and clearing accounts, and ensuring proper reconciliation of general ledger items.
  • Oversee off-site ATM cash operations, armoured carrier transfers, and secure handling of currency to safeguard bank assets.
  • Conduct routine operational audits and reviews to identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and prevent operational risk exposure.
  • Prepare and submit management and operational reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure compliance with AML/ATF, KYC, security protocols, and regulatory requirements while maintaining strict confidentiality of bank and customer information.
  • Investigate unusual transactions or operational irregularities and escalate concerns in accordance with risk management procedures.
  • Lead staff development by providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to support continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Promote adherence to custody and security standards, ensuring proper authorization, documentation, and control of treasury activities.
  • Monitor operational efficiency, equipment readiness, and workflow processes to maintain a secure and professional treasury environment.
  • Support departmental goals, referral initiatives, and broader operational objectives aligned with the Bank’s strategic priorities.
  • Perform treasury custodial functions when required to maintain operational continuity.

 

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; or three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in a high-volume cash or treasury environment.
  • At least two (2) years of demonstrated supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capability.
  • Strong accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational ability.
  • Working knowledge of banking systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of treasury custody and regulatory standards preferred.
