Under the direction of the Director, Marketing and Sales, the incumbent is responsible for developing and implementing strategies and plans to effectively market and drive revenue from the sale of the Agency’s products and services of the Agency.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

  • Recommends revised/new products, services and opportunities; 
  • Coordinates the development, launch and distribution of new products and services;
  • Participates in the revision of existing products and services to improve branding, promotion and distribution; 
  • Develops marketing strategies for products and services aligned to the strategic direction and objectives of the Agency; 
  • Participates in the development of the Agency’s marketing strategy. 
  • Monitors, evaluates and reports on the effectiveness of marketing strategies, campaigns and activities. 
  • Establishes marketing objectives by creating marketing plans and targets in support of the Agency’s objectives and revenue targets. 
  • Assists with developing pricing strategies to maximize the Agency’s revenue potential.
  • Participates in project design and planning to ensure alignment with sales and revenue forecasting 
  • Participates in production planning to ensure adequacy to meet supply and revenue targets 
  • Assists with surveying consumer needs and trends to inform products and services development. 
  • Develops and oversees production of marketing materials created by the Agency;
  • Develop and implements marketing plans and programmes for the Agency’s existing and new products and services. 
  • Collects and provides competitive information such as pricing and promotional activities.
  • Liaises with representatives at the Agency’s sales points and provide updates as required.
  • Contributes to the preparation and implementation of the Branch and Division’s strategic and operational plans and budget; 
  • Participates in planning and implementation of special projects undertaken by the Agency/Branch/Division; 
  • Establishes and maintains effective relationships with marketing and sales professionals;
  • Keeps abreast of trends in marketing and recommends their adoption/application where appropriate to enhance effectiveness; 
  • Participates in the implementation of strategies to promote the Agency’s brand
  • Assists with coordination and execution of the Agency’s participation in exhibitions and other events; 
  • Contributes to the development of relevant operating procedures and guidelines within the Agency. 
  • Participates in relevant staff training as required; 
  • Prepares and submits special and periodic (monthly, quarterly, and annual) analytical reports to the Head of Branch; 
  • Demonstrates/upholds the Agency’s core values in personal and professional behaviours;
  • Represents the Organisation at local and regional meetings, conferences, community projects and other functions as required. 
  • Assists in the implementation of marketing activities in the National Forest Management and Conservation Plan 
  • Develops and monitors social media content and campaigns for the Agency’s products and services.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • First Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management Studies, or related disciplines. 
  • Training/Certification in Sales is an asset 
  • Training/Certification in Customer Service. 
  • Training/ experience in graphic design would be an asset 
  • Three (3) years’ of related experience 

OR 

  • Associate Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Management Studies, or related disciplines or related area 
  • Training/Certification in Sales is an asset 
  • Training/Certification in Customer Service. 
  • Training/ experience in graphic design would be an asset 
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ related experience 

OR 

  • Any equivalent combination of qualification and experience; 

 

SPECIAL CONDITIONS ASSOCIATED WITH THE JOB

  • Normal office environment; 
  • Island-wide travel; 
  • Occasional forest environments with rugged terrain. 

 

AUTHORITY

The incumbent is authorized to: 

  • Recommend guidelines/standards for selling products and services; 
  • Authorise discounts and waivers to agreed limits; 
  • Recommends resolutions to customer related complaints; 
  • Incur expenses within agreed limits.
