We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Relationship Manager II, Corporate & Commercial Services to join our team and contribute to the growth and success of the Bank's corporate and commercial lending portfolio.

 

Position Overview:

The Relationship Manager II, Corporate & Commercial Services is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of corporate and commercial clients, with a primary focus on business lending relationships. The incumbent contributes to the profitable growth and quality of the Bank's corporate portfolio by developing strong client relationships, attracting new business opportunities, and identifying opportunities to expand the Bank's products and services.

The successful candidate will deliver exceptional client service while maintaining sound credit risk management practices. The role involves developing relationship strategies, preparing credit proposals and annual reviews, monitoring portfolio performance, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support business growth, client retention, and the achievement of the Bank's strategic objectives.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of corporate and commercial clients, providing financial solutions and ongoing account support.
  • Develop and execute client relationship plans to deepen existing relationships, generate new business opportunities, and achieve portfolio growth objectives.
  •  Identify opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell the Bank's products and services to meet clients' evolving needs.
  • Prepare high-quality credit proposals and annual reviews through comprehensive financial and non-financial analysis, document collection, site visits, and credit risk assessment.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified lending and business development opportunities.
  • Deliver an exceptional client experience by developing a thorough understanding of clients' businesses, industries, and financial objectives.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, including delinquent and watch-list accounts, and implement appropriate collection and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Liaise with attorneys, insurance providers, and internal departments to ensure appropriate security documentation and effective loan administration.
  • Design and support initiatives aimed at attracting new commercial clients and promoting the Bank's corporate and commercial banking products and services.
  • Collaborate with Credit Solutions and Risk Management teams to structure lending facilities within the Bank's risk appetite.
  • Advise the Assistant Vice President, Corporate & Commercial Services of any issues that may materially impact the credit portfolio.


Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Banking, or a related field.
  • Five (5) or more years of banking experience, preferably in commercial or corporate banking.
  • Strong knowledge of credit analysis, financial statement analysis, and commercial lending.
  • Excellent relationship management, business development, and sales skills.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and banking systems.
