Reseach Fellow, SALISES - Mona Campus

This post is aligned with SALISES’ mission to drive cutting-edge research and policy engagement in the Caribbean.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct high-impact research from a Caribbean perspective within a multi-disciplinary small-country and comparative context
  • Publish in peer-reviewed journals
  • Teach and supervise at the graduate level (MSc, MPhil, PhD)
  • Lead or participate in multi-stakeholder research and policy consultancies with international development agencies, governments, and civil society
  • Secure external research grants and contribute to academic service and institutional leadership within SALISES and the wider UWI community

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A PhD in International Development, Governance, Political Science or a related social science field
  • Certification or training in teaching and learning in higher education
  • Demonstrated research expertise in governance issues, evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed journals
  • Experience in teaching at the postgraduate level, including curriculum development and thesis supervision
  • Evidence of securing and managing external research or consultancy grants tied to public sector or development objectives
