The Bermuda High School invites suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Teacher of English and PSHE.

 

Job overview

This position requires the teaching of English from Years 7 to 9 and at the (I)GCSE, IB Diploma Standard/Higher Levels and A-Level. The successful candidate may be required, at times, to teach PSHE (Personal, Social, Health Education).

The successful candidates should hold strong academic qualifications: a Bachelor’s degree in the teaching subject, formal teacher training certification (e.g. BEd/MEd or BA/BSc with PGDE/QTS) as well as proven success and a minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching the subject and curriculum required (GCSE, IB and/or A level) . Prospective teachers should also be able to integrate technology in the classroom and must either have, or meet the qualifications to obtain, a current Bermuda Teacher’s License.

The successful candidates will be required to provide a recent police check and complete SCARS Training.
