This position reports to the Assistant Vice President, Trust Control and is responsible for providing administrative support to the Trust Control Team.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Undertake appropriate screening reviews as directed by the Trust Control Team
  • Review Introducer Certificates before submitting to the appropriate department
  • Review Distribution Checklists from the client services teams for completeness and accuracy
  • Review system-generated reports for material changes
  • Review external applications for managed plans for completeness
  • Review outstanding points raised by the Trust Control Team to ensure completion
  • Assist with the collation of documentation to close accounts in line with policy
  • Perform and close reviews when a non-material trigger takes place

 

Your qualifications and skills include:

  • Bachelor’s degree and three years’ experience in banking, investments, trust or a comparable business environment
  • General understanding of Trust and Banking principles and procedures would be an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work on own initiative
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Commitment to pursue STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) designation

  • Strong analytical skills needed to collect and analyse data
  • Ability to identify potential risks both in file administration and processes
  • Ability to approach issues in a methodical manner and be able to communicate findings clearly and professionally
  • Ability to identify options and possible solutions to work toward the next course of action
  • Ability to apply general concepts to both simple and complex situations
  • Ability to resolve in-depth queries in a methodical manner independently to find appropriate resolutions and efficiencies
