Founded in 1917, the Abraham Lincoln School is a historic institution owned by the Central Romana Corporation. We are a co-educational day school with approximately 495 students (aged 4–18) and a dedicated staff of 40 teachers, the majority of whom are British.

The Role

We are seeking a dynamic educator to join our Primary Department. The successful applicant will be responsible for:

• Core Curriculum: Delivering high-quality English and Mathematics lessons so pupils secure the literacy and numeracy skills expected at the end of Key Stage 1.
• Topic-Based Learning: Teaching Science and foundation subjects (such as History, Geography, and Art) through engaging, thematic units that inspire curiosity.
• Pastoral Care: Leading a Year 2 class and supporting pupils' social and emotional well-being as they prepare for the move to Key Stage 2.

Person Specification

• Qualifications: A Bachelor of Education (BEd), or a relevant degree plus a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/QTS), from the UK or Ireland.
• Experience: A minimum of two years' teaching experience, preferably in the UK.
• Curriculum Knowledge: Proven experience teaching the UK National Curriculum at Key Stage 1 is essential.
• Attributes: Adaptable, resilient and good-humoured, and willing to contribute to our extensive extra-curricular and sports programmes.
