To provide for the operation of the Region Water Treatment Plant in the abstraction treatment, and storage of potable water for distribution to customers.
To ensure the operational efficiency of plant, equipment and systems, the development and implementation of programs to enhance service delivery and for establishing measures to monitor and improve the effectiveness of the Region’s operations.
To ensure timely operation of the pump station and informs the Production/Distribution Supervisor on problems that may arise at the station, distribution systems and transmission which affects the water supply system
The incumbent will be responsible for the effective management of the Direct Current/Electronics, Electrical Maintenance, Protection Programming, Protection Instrumentation and Calibration Sections
The incumbent oversees electromechanical operations, ensures strict adherence to safety and environmental standards, manages equipment testing and smart grid devices, and directs departmental budgeting, staff development, and asset tracking.
