Responsible for maintaining and developing automation systems, including SCADA devices, data interfaces, application testing, troubleshooting, system security, documentation, and supporting IT projects and technical reporting.
The incumbent supports system operations by providing engineering and technical expertise for automation systems, including configuration, testing, analysis, and operation of related applications and equipment.
Under the general supervision of the Assistant Shift Control Engineer, the incumbent is responsible for monitoring and recording system conditions and effecting all switching operations.
The incumbent will be responsible for the effective management of the distribution transformer testing/repairs, equipment maintenance and repairs, capital job and emergencies, substation maintenance and Berbice and central operations.
The Public Relations Officer provides technical support to the Director and all other staff members as is required to foster a positive image of the CTVET.
Timely and effectively collecting and delivering of documents, files, correspondence to the Secretariat, Staff and Officers, Council members and Stakeholders of the CTVET.
