The officer collaborates with researchers to identify and commercialize intellectual property, develops funding and marketing strategies, negotiates investment agreements, and manages contract performance to drive social and financial impact.

The officer reconciles ledger accounts, prepares financial statements, processes departmental payments and purchase orders, maintains budgetary controls, and ensures timely reporting in compliance with institutional policies and procedures.

The incumbent prepares and swabs dental clinics, assists students and dentists during procedures, guides compound mixing, maintains strict infection control and safety standards, and supports the dispensary and special needs clinic.

The incumbent manages official communications, marketing programmes, websites, and media relations for the Faculty, while supervising the Communications Unit and serving as Managing Editor of the Journal of Tropical Agriculture.
