Accounting Supervisor

CORE FUNCTIONS

• Verify accuracy of figures, postings, and documents.
• Organize, secure, and maintain files, records, and financial assets.
• Record and analyze computerized financial information.
• Classify and summarize financial data using journals, ledgers, and software.
• Prepare and audit various financial and payroll reports.
• Complete period-end closing procedures and related reporting.
• Prepare, review, and reconcile invoices, bills, and statements.
• Follow up on overdue accounts and vendor payments until resolution.
• Coordinate with other departments; act as a mentor or role model.
• Report workplace incidents and follow company policies and procedures.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Communicate clearly and accurately both in writing and speech.
• Foster teamwork and support team goals.
• Perform light physical duties and other tasks as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
• License or Certification: None
