This position is responsible for maintaining records of all transactions of goods and services provided to customers, preparing invoices, statements and monitoring customers’ accounts, reducing delinquent accounts.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Dispatches invoices to customers through the Human Resource Management & Development Division
  • Informs delinquent customers of overdue balances
  • Package and issue monthly customer statements
  • Relieves other Clerks as necessary to ensure that there is no disruption in the operations of the various functions in the Division
  • Maintain updated customer files
  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger balance to the general ledger balance monthly
  • Preparation of a monthly report on collections and delinquency
  • Refer delinquent clients to the Legal Office

 

Minimum Educational Requirements:

  • Diploma in Business Administration (with Accounting Major) or AAT
  • Computer literate

 

Experience:

  • One (1) year of experience in an Accounting Department

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of the Public Bodies Management and Accounting Act and the Financial Accounting and Auditing Act
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service attitude
  • Advance computer literacy of Microsoft Office Suite and an Accounting Software
  • Good analytical skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Keen eye for details
