Job Overview

The Human Resources Officer II plays a vital role in supporting the core functions of the HR Department at the Bahamas National Trust. This position demands strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to perform well under pressure. Responsibilities include facilitating employee onboarding, assisting with recruitment efforts, maintaining accurate records, and providing support on various HR projects and initiatives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Enter new hire data and update employee personnel profiles in our HRIS.
  • Assist with recruitment: job posting across all platforms and tracking of progress.
  • Screen potential employees’ resumes and application forms to identify suitable candidates to fill company job vacancies.
  • Assist in creating the shortlisted candidates for job vacancies.
  • Coordinate interview logistics and scheduling between departments.
  • Distribute internal correspondence and track document submission for all new hires and existing employees.
  • Prepare interview packets, orientation kits, and onboarding files.
  • Preparing and sending out all offer and rejection letters electronically.
  • Assisting in the planning of company events.
  • Coordinating new hire orientations.
  • Assist in responding to staff inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits, and other HR-related matters.
  • Performing other clerical duties as needed.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in HR, Business Administration, or a minimum of 2 years of experience in the related field.
  • Baisc knowledge in the HR standard.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
