A well-established and dynamic law firm based in Nevis invites applications from suitably qualified attorneys-at-law for the position of Associate Attorney with a focus on Civil Litigation.

The successful candidate will join a busy litigation practice and will be responsible for managing and assisting with a broad range of civil matters, including commercial disputes, property and land matters, contractual claims, and general magistrate and High Court litigation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research and prepare written legal opinions;
  • Draft pleadings, affidavits, submissions, and other court documents;
  • Appear before the High Court , Magistrate’s Court and Court of Appeal;
  • Manage litigation files from commencement through trial and enforcement.
  • Maintain strong client communication and case management standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Admitted to practise as an Attorney-at-Law in St. Kitts and Nevis or eligible for admission;
  • Minimum 2 years’ post-admission experience in civil litigation preferred;
  • Strong advocacy, drafting, and analytical skills;
  • Sound knowledge of civil procedure and court practice;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in commercial or property litigation;
  • Courtroom advocacy experience;
  • Strong organisational and file management skills;
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Remuneration

Compensation will be commensurate with experience, together with opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
