We are seeking an experienced ATM Service Technician to join our growing team and drive the expansion of the Bank's presence within the corporate segment.

 

Position Overview:

The ATM Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and ongoing support of the Bank’s Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) and related self-service banking equipment. The role ensures maximum uptime, availability, and secure operation of all ATM devices across the Bank’s network. The incumbent is required to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues in a timely and effective manner while adhering to established Bank policies, procedures, security standards, and regulatory requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and test new ATMs and self-service banking equipment.
  • Replace or upgrade ATM components including dispensers, card readers, printers, sensors, and related hardware.
  • Perform physical setup activities such as mounting, cabling, networking, and communications testing.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance on all ATM units to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software issues to restore full functionality.
  • Clear cash jams, printer malfunctions, and card reader issues in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Replace faulty components using approved vendor parts and tools.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on recurring ATM issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Respond promptly to ATM alerts, outages, and service requests in line with service-level expectations.
  • Coordinate with Electronic Banking, IT Security, and external vendors to resolve complex issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, issues resolved, and parts utilized.
  • Ensure all ATM devices comply with the Bank’s security, operational, and regulatory standards.
  • Identify and promptly escalate operational, security, or risk control issues to Management.

 

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field (preferred).
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience servicing ATMs or similar electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Experience with NCR and/or Diebold Nixdorf ATM systems will be considered an asset.
  • Sound knowledge of mechanical and electronic systems.
  • Basic network troubleshooting skills including TCP/IP, routers, switches, and VPNs.
  • Familiarity with Windows-based systems and ATM software environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and perform under pressure.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between branches and remote ATM locations.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to work on-call, shift work, and after-hours, weekends, or holidays as required.
