The Branch Manager drives growth and profitability by leading sales, service, and operations, coaching staff, ensuring regulatory compliance and risk management, and building strong customer relationships to achieve branch objectives.

 

Position Overview:

The Branch Manager is responsible for leading the branch sales and service team and driving the overall success and performance of the branch. This role focuses on achieving business goals through effective planning, coaching, performance management, and the execution of sales and service activities that deliver exceptional customer experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting the financial services needs of both personal and small business customers by providing customized financial solutions using a financial planning approach. The Branch Manager will oversee branch operations, sales performance, customer service standards, and risk management practices while ensuring compliance with the Bank’s policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all branch sales, service, operational, and business development activities to achieve branch objectives.
  • Develop and execute branch business plans to drive growth in deposits, loans, customer acquisition, and profitability.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop branch employees to achieve individual and team performance goals.
  • Foster a high-performance sales and service culture focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with personal, small business, and commercial customers while identifying opportunities to expand business.
  • Monitor branch performance through sales, service, operational, and financial metrics, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), FATCA, CRS, and Bank policies and procedures.
  • Oversee branch operations, internal controls, cash administration, risk management, and audit readiness to safeguard Bank assets.
  • Manage the branch loan and deposit portfolios, ensuring sound credit practices and portfolio quality.
  • Resolve customer concerns and complaints promptly and professionally to maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Represent the Bank within the community to strengthen relationships, promote the Bank's products and services, and generate new business opportunities.
  • Support talent development through performance management, coaching, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure operational reports, risk assessments, audit findings, and regulatory requirements are completed accurately and within established timelines

 

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Banking, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum (5) years of progressive banking experience, including branch operations, sales, lending, and team leadership responsibilities.
  • Working knowledge of commercial and consumer lending, including credit analysis and portfolio management.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills, with the ability to build high-performing teams, coach direct reports, and foster employee development.
  • In-depth knowledge of banking products, services, policies, procedures, and branch operations.
  • Strong understanding of applicable banking regulations and compliance requirements, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), Financial Transactions Reporting Act, Bank and Trust Companies Regulation Act, FATCA, CRS, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, employees, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess branch performance, interpret data, and make sound business decisions.
  • Working knowledge of accounting and financial management principles, including budgeting and performance monitoring.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and banking systems/applications.
