Customer Service Ambassador

The Customer Service Ambassador reports to the Supervisor and works out of Butterfield’s Front Street Banking Centre. This position is the first point of contact for customers entering the bank. The position will provide service to a wide range of customers, and will be responsible for the administration of the QMatic Electronic Queuing system, as well as acting as a subject matter expert to customers utilising the platform.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting customers and visitors entering Butterfield and assisting them with their queries
  • Coordinating the administration of QMatic Electronic Queueing System, liaising with customers and responding to their queries about the platform, and troubleshooting as per established procedures. Directing and assigning customers to the relevant service queues and departments.
  • Answering customer queries both via telephone and in person, as well as advising customers on the various products and services available.
  • Assisting customers with the completion of the various Retail Banking forms and applications
  • Coordinating customer visits with the Personal Banking Representatives in an effort to minimise the wait time.
  • Verifying and reviewing KYC documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ordering stationery and restocking supplies for the Reception Area (including the ATM vestibules and Brochure Racks).
  • Actively promoting retail banking products and identify opportunities to cross-sell other Butterfield products.
  • Coordinating the distribution of work to various departments.
  • Keeping the reception area and ATM Vestibules clean and tidy at all times.

 

Your qualifications and skills include:

  • High school diploma with a minimum of two years’ experience in a front-line customer service position.
  • Ability to multi-task and operate well under pressure in a very busy environment
  • Strong customer focus with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
