To assist in the administration of the Authority’s health institutions in collaboration with the Hospital Administrator so as to ensure the achievement of the Authority’s Health Sector goals and objectives.

 

KEY FUNCTIONS

  • Provides oversight of specific departments/operational units as outlined in the institution’s Structure; ie: Communication/Telephone Operations, Domestic Services, Maintenance Services, Transport, Laundry Services, Tailoring/Sewing Services and Hospital Attendants.
  • Monitors and maintains the standards of performance of staff and ensures the standard operating procedures are adhered to in the hospital with particular attention to proper health and safety practices.
  • Reviews and evaluates the performance of staff and recommends the promotion of employees where necessary.
  • Assists in drafting departmental/institution’s annual budgets that focus on expenses such as supplies, equipment and personnel.
  • Builds and maintain harmonious working relationships with heads of departments and subordinate staff.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A Degree in Business Administration or Management and/or Health Services Administration.
  • Certification in Supervisory Management.
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in a Supervisory capacity.
  • Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of qualifications, training and experience. Interested candidates are asked to submit their Curriculum Vitae with copies of all relevant academic certificates.
