The Inventory & Procurement Lead is responsible for the strategic and operational management of inventory and procurement functions across Dr. Browns Laboratory, Northshore Medical Laboratory, and Northshore Medical and Aesthetic Center.

This role ensures optimal stock levels, cost-effective procurement, efficient system utilization, and compliance with healthcare regulations, supporting uninterrupted clinical and operational services.

 

Reporting To: Global Supply Chain Manager

Location: Multi-site (Dr. Browns Laboratory, Northshore Medical Laboratory, Northshore Medical & Aesthetic Center)

 

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Control

  • Manage and monitor inventory levels across multiple facilities to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
  • Implement controls to minimize overstock, expiry, and waste while preventing stock shortages.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations to maintain accuracy and accountability.

 

Procurement Management

  • Lead end-to-end procurement activities including supplier sourcing, evaluation, contract negotiation, and purchase order management.
  • Secure high-quality medical, laboratory, and operational supplies at competitive prices.
  • Ensure timely procurement aligned with operational demands and budget constraints.

 

System Operations & Optimization

  • Oversee and optimize inventory and sales systems, including BDAGPO, ShopNMAC, DBL Website, and related platforms.
  • Ensure accurate real-time tracking, reporting, and data integrity across all systems.
  • Identify system improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.

Strategic Planning

  • Develop and implement inventory and procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Drive cost-reduction initiatives and continuous process improvements.
  • Forecast inventory needs based on operational trends and business growth.

 

Vendor & Supplier Relations

  • Establish and maintain strong, professional relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Conduct supplier performance evaluations to ensure quality, compliance, and service-level adherence.
  • Resolve supplier issues and negotiate favorable terms where necessary.

 

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the inventory and procurement team.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and performance-driven work environment.
  • Set clear objectives, conduct performance reviews, and support professional development.

 

Compliance, Reporting & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, industry standards, and internal company policies.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive inventory, procurement, and cost analysis reports to senior management.
  • Support audits and ensure documentation and processes meet regulatory requirements.
