Barbados Reference Laboratory is seeking a professional, customer-oriented individual with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record to join us as a Laboratory Courier.
 

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

As a Laboratory Courier, you will:

  • Pick up and deliver lab specimens, supplies, and mail between our clients and the laboratory in a timely and secure manner.
  • Follow proper protocols to ensure the safe handling and accurate transport of all medical specimens.
  • Report incidents or specimen-related issues promptly to supervisors, such as delayed pickups, compromised packaging, or spills.
  • Collaborate with the courier coordinator to optimize routes and relay client feedback.
  • Respond professionally to urgent or unscheduled pickup requests when necessary, demonstrating flexibility in your schedule.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle, ensuring it meets safety and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Serve as a representative of BRL, always delivering courteous, professional service to our clients.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Completion of Secondary School.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Strong customer service skills and a polite, professional attitude.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing situations.
  • Physically capable of lifting and carrying materials.
  • Prior courier or driving experience is a plus.
