LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER IN EDUCATION / TEACHER EDUCATION
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in his or her respective areas of specialization;
- Take part in curriculum development, be involved in interdisciplinary collaboration, develop and implement innovative research;
- Advise and supervise students at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
- Make a significant contribution to the department’s research output;
- Undertake an appropriate teaching and administrative load;
- Participate in campus-related and outreach activities.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- PhD or EdD in Education, Teacher Education and or Teacher Development
- Professional Teacher Certification;
- Demonstrated scholarly research;
- At least five (5) years’ experience of teaching in the related areas at the tertiary level.
Candidates who possess the following will be at a distinct advantage:
- General understanding of educational philosophy;
- Experience supervising undergraduate and graduate students;
- Evidence of prior grant acquisition;
- Administrative Experience within an Academic Institution;
- Evidence of curriculum development (face to face and distance delivery modes);
- Evidence of contribution to the Public Service OR field of study.
