Quality Analyst 1

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collect and/or receive water samples in accordance with the established SOP at any location relevant to the water quality monitoring program. 
• Perform analysis on samples according to test procedures.
• Wash and label water sample bottles in a timely manner for distribution to the regions.
• Prepare chemical reagents and equipment for testing.
• Carry out quality assurance and control objectives as outlined by the supervisor
• Record the results of the analysis carried out on water samples
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with laboratory regulations.
• Monitor and restocking of laboratory chemicals and supplies.
• Ensure that lab benchtops, glassware and equipment are properly cleaned
• Conducts temperature and humidity checks in the laboratory when necessary.
• Perform simple calculations of test results
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities consistent with the level and purpose of post

Ability to:

Understand and apply standard methodologies and protocols to maintain the accuracy and reliability to testing results, present scientific data clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.

Qualifications and Experience:

• GCE Science ‘A’ Levels with two (2) years relevant experience

OR

• Ordinary Technician Diploma Certificate (Science)
