The incumbent processes guest check-ins, handles payments, resolves inquiries, assists management in staff training and policy enforcement, ensures service quality, and maintains professionalism while adhering to company standards.

 

CORE FUNCTIONS

  • Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system.
  • Review shift logs/daily memo books and document pertinent information in logbooks.
  • Contact appropriate individual or department (e.g., Bellperson, Housekeeping) as necessary to resolve guest calls, requests, or problems.
  • Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, verifying guest identity, requesting payment, assigning rooms, and issuing room keys.
  • Sell accommodations to walk-in guests based on availability.
  • Ensure rates match market codes and document any exceptions.
  • Scan and charge checks from outlets (e.g., Health Club, Retail Shop) to rooms.
  • Assist management in training, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
  • Serve as a role model and first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager; complete safety training and certifications.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures; maintain confidentiality and protect company assets.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate their needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
  • Communicate professionally, answer telephones using proper etiquette, and develop positive working relationships.
  • Adhere to quality expectations and standards.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; move, lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by Supervisors.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • License or Certification: None
