Achieve maximum sales through targeting markets and customers, building positive business relationships, effectively executing product sales, securing new business and maintaining current customers.
 

Principal Responsibilities:

  1. Promote the company's existing brands and introduce new products to the market.
  2. Establish, develop and maintain positive business relationships with current and prospective customers to generate new business for the company’s goods.
  3. Maintain relationships with important clients by making regular visits, understanding their needs, and anticipating new marketing opportunities.
  4. Present, promote and sell products to existing and prospective customers.
  5. Make telephone calls, in-person visits and conduct presentations to existing/prospective customers.
  6. Provide rate proposals and quotations to clients.
  7. Achieve agreed monthly sales targets.
  8. Follow up on transportation arrangements and delivery of goods to clients/businesses in a safe, timely and efficient manner.
  9. Review orders before and after delivery (where applicable) to ensure orders are complete and customers are satisfied.
  10. Provide a monthly report on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  11. Provide a monthly status report on current and potential customers.
  12. Accomplish marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertisements.
  13. Manage and motivate the Sales team to achieve targets.
  14. Monitor and manage product quality to reduce/eliminate spoilage and returns.
  15. Identify marketing opportunities by understanding consumer requirements.
  16. Improve product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities.
  17. Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Performance Standards:

  • Submit a six-month work plan within 30 days of start date.
  • Meet minimum monthly sales targets.
  • Effectively and efficiently maintain existing customers.
  • Acquire at least 120 new clients within the first 3 months.
  • Effectively manage the sales team.
  • Submit a status report on current and potential customers by the 15th of the following month.

 

Qualification/Experience:

  • Degree in Sales, Marketing, Commerce, Business Administration or related field.
  • 3 years’ experience in a similar position (restaurant industry experience is an asset).
  • Valid license and ownership of a reliable motor vehicle.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of sales and marketing.
