The incumbent develops competitive card products, implements product strategies and policies, tracks industry trends, and manages vendor relationships to drive revenue growth and market competitiveness.

 

Vice President, Group Head of Card Services

The VP, Group Head of Card Services reports to the Managing Director, Cayman and is responsible for the card services business line in Bermuda and Cayman, as well as providing Group support to the Channel Islands. The incumbent will lead the direction and strategic roadmap for the Group’s credit and debit card products, manage the P&L, and develop new products and services that will maximize market share and ensure portfolio profitability.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leveraging existing capabilities and defining product gaps in order to deliver competitive debit and credit card products that will instigate revenue growth and support market strategy.
  • Implementing policies that will drive client value propositions while maintaining customer service quality.
  • Developing and implementing a product strategy to guide short and long-term decisions around product features, segmentation, operations, pricing, and sales.
  • Developing product enhancements that can compete with established competitors based on understanding of the marketplace for debit and credit products.
  • Working with processing partners to ensure best-in-class features and support are enabled and seamless for customers.
  • Tracking industry trends and competitive innovations while using insights to form the development of program strategies and activities.
  • Developing and managing strong vendor and business partner relationships.

 

Your qualifications and skills include:

  • Post-graduate qualification (MBA) preferred.
  • 15 years of experience with 8-10 years of relevant experience at a senior management level with P&L responsibility.
  • A proven track record of working with cross-functional groups to identify payment market needs and solution development.
  • In-depth knowledge of Visa, Mastercard, and other payment networks.
  • Ability to manage and maximize value of partner relationships.
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead a team to meet growth and performance targets with well-developed and proven management and leadership skills.
  • Experience managing cross-functional areas with direct and indirect reports.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Creativity and ability to deliver innovative solutions in the rapidly evolving realm of electronic payments.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills, with strong negotiating skills.
  • Exceptional presentation skills and familiarity in dealing with all levels of an organization.
  • The position will require some international travel.
