To be directly responsible for the maintenance of an effective cash management system and for controlling expenditure within the limits of the approved budget and warrant allocation in respect of the ministry’s Recurrent and Capital A and B heads.
Supports the day-to-day execution of general ledger impacted processes, including support to clients. Performs accounting functions specifically in the areas of account balancing, ledger reconciliation, reporting and discrepancy resolution.
The incumbent monitors the MOFPS budget and financial performance, ensures regulatory compliance, prepares divisional plans, manages a designated investment portfolio, and provides reports on audit queries and budget-funded entities.
