The incumbent acts as the Ministry's Chief Advisor on Industrial Relations, developing policies and strategies to maintain good labour relations, and providing leadership in collective bargaining negotiations.

The incumbent ensures the effective and efficient management of the project accounts, whether funded through the Government of Jamaica, local or international donor agencies; in the fulfilment of its corporate objectives.

The incumbent manages building maintenance, redevelopment, health and safety, and vendor contracts for healthcare facilities, while supporting leasing, compliance, inspections, and grant funding to ensure efficient, safe operations.
