The incumbent conducts research on mosquitoes and arthropods, studies insect habitats, identifies species, supervises disease eradication programs, diagnoses malaria specimens, and compiles field data reports.
The incumbent will be required to administer medical treatment to patients at a hospital or designated institution. To direct and supervise work of junior medical officers and other clinical staff in administration of medical treatment to patients.
The incumbent is accountable to the Board for leading the Authority, setting strategic goals, managing change, ensuring fiscal prudence, and overseeing all operational and clinical systems to deliver quality healthcare.
To ensure the implementation and application of approved Health Service Protocols, Systems and Procedures for assigned units so that targeted quality standards are achieved.
The incumbent manages sterile services operations, maintains quality systems, supervises staff, and ensures efficient distribution of medical supplies.
The incumbent will be required to assist in planning for and administering disaster preparedness emergency services in accordance with local and international standards to facilitate the delivery of quality health care to the Region.
