The incumbent maintains cleanliness and safety across the premises through daily landscaping, waste removal, vehicle washing, and general facility support tasks.

The Maintenance Officer inspects, maintains, and repairs machinery and facilities, performing preventive and corrective tasks to minimize downtime and ensure operational safety and reliability.

The incumbent oversees facility operations, building systems, and the Forensic Pathology infrastructure while managing risks and implementing effective maintenance strategies.

Reporting to the Director, Administration and Asset Management, the incumbent is to ensure that the staff is provided with a clean working environment in accordance with public health requirements.

Reporting to the Senior Accounts Payable Officer, the incumbent is to ensure that payments to suppliers and service providers are done in a timely manner and in compliance with the Government of Jamaica (GOJ) guidelines and regulations.

Under the supervision of the Manager, Accounts Payable & Payroll the incumbent will ensure that payroll controls for monthly and fortnightly payrolls are accurately checked and are in keeping with Government guidelines.

The incumbent manages daily LAN and WAN operations, implements security measures, performs hardware and software upgrades, and provides technical support and disaster recovery to ensure system stability.

The incumbent will be responsible for the effective, efficient and economical use of computerized financial systems within the Finance and Accounts Department so as to ensure the Unit’s compliance with established systems, procedures and guidelines.

The incumbent oversees strategic planning, recurrent budget preparation, and cash flow management while maintaining strict expenditure controls and financial compliance in accordance with government guidelines.

The DPO assesses compliance readiness, advises on gaps and DPIAs, drafts a privacy framework, and acts as the primary contact for data subjects and the information commissioner.
