VIDIC seeks a CEO to lead its operations, providing strategic direction, financial oversight, and policy implementation to ensure stability of the Virgin Islands’ financial system and effective deposit insurance management.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) serves as the principal executive responsible for the strategic leadership, operational management, and administration of VIDIC. The CEO ensures the Corporation fulfills its mandate of maintaining financial stability through effective oversight of the deposit insurance system and sound management of financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement Board decisions, corporate policies, and strategies in alignment with government regulations.
  • Lead day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient use of the Corporation’s resources.
  • Develop and execute the corporate business plan and financial strategies.
  • Provide expert advice to the Board on policy, financial, and administrative matters.
  • Oversee financial reporting, human resources, and succession planning.
  • Promote ethical practices, transparency, and good corporate governance.
  • Represent VIDIC locally and internationally, fostering stakeholder relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and risk management frameworks.
  • Lead change management, business process improvement, and staff development initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Law, or Commerce (preferred).
  • Minimum of 15 years’ relevant experience, including senior management roles in the financial sector.
  • Proven expertise in strategic leadership, risk management, and compliance.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and policy development skills.
  • High integrity, commercial acumen, and international exposure desirable.
