We are looking for an Interventional Cardiologist willing to work in Jamaica!

What will you do?

  • You will join a team of experienced Cardiologists, Cardiothoracic Surgeons, Critical Care Specialists and Cardiovascular Technologists;
  • You will be primarily responsible for enhancing the Client’s Clinical Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology programs;
  • You will undertake outpatient consultative practice, perform and interpret cardiovascular diagnostic studies including Echo, Stress Test, Holter, and ECG, and perform interventional cardiology procedures;
  • You will contribute to telemetry services and the Client’s satellite outpatient locations on a weekly/biweekly basis as required;
  • You will be expected to admit and manage patients at the Hospital CCU;
  • You will be expected to contribute to the emergency on-call route. Calls can be taken from home, but response to acute coronary syndrome is expected within 30 minutes;
  • You will have the opportunity to participate in groundbreaking research in collaboration with Yale University.

 

What do you need to have?

  • English fluency is non-negotiable
  • You will have completed your specialised training in interventional cardiology, proven by a Certificate of Completion of Training or equivalent
  • You will hold a specialist registration status from an established medical board
  • You will have a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in interventional cardiology. This is counted after gaining board certification/specialist registration.
  • You enjoy providing personalised and holistic care to individual patients and are highly skilled in effective patient-doctor communication
  • You appreciate having enough time to care for individual patients instead of rushing through waves of them, and you are willing to invest the time and energy in building good relationships with your patients as their care provider

 

What’s in it for you?
