We are seeking an experienced Account Associate-Physician Payables to join our Joint Commission International-accredited hospital system in New Providence, The Bahamas.

 

Accounts Associate-Physician Payables would be responsible for:

  • Processing payments to physicians twice per month—for the period from the 1st to the 15th and from the 16th to the end of the month. Payments must be made within 7 days of the period end.
  • Provide clear, concise remittances to physicians for each payment made.
  • Collaborate with Physician Billing and Physician Relations associates to clarify and confirm professional fees due to physicians and any/all outstanding balances due to physicians.
  • Perform reconciliations for physician payables balances on at least a quarterly basis.
  • Respond to all physician queries within 24 hours.
  • Produces additional reports as required.
  • Assist the Accounts Payable Manager with ad hoc reports as requested by the CFO, SVP of Corporate Finance, and/or VP of Corporate Finance.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related area

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar position
  • Exposure to other accounting functions
  • Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office software suite (Excel, Word)

 

Skills:

  • Excellent computer skills, including the ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite and internet programs.  
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as good telephone skills.
  • Ability to multi-task; analytical skills a must.
  • Detail-oriented and well organized.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
