The Administrative Officer – Identification Cards provide administrative support to the Licence Processing Unit (LPU) as well as collate and disburse information and process identification cards.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Processing of all incoming mail to the LPU;
  • Attend to all relevant correspondence in a timely manner;
  • Preparation and printing of Identification cards for Jamaica Tourist Board applicants, Tourism Product Development Company Limited’s (TPDCo) employees, Approved Training Partners (ATPs) and any other Identification Cards as may be required;
  • Assist with the preparation of Contract Carriage Licences;
  • Assist with the Maintenance of Contract Carriage database;
  • Packaging and dispatching of all JTB Contract Carriage and Craft Licences;
  • Provide customer service to Contract Carriage operators;
  • Provide weekly reports on number of Contract Carriage Licences and Identification Cards dispatched;
  • Maintain adequate stock of stationery;
  • Attend work permit meetings when required;
  • Assist with filing of all documents;
  • Maintain inventory of items for Identification Card Machine and order materials required for Identification Cards in a timely manner; and
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

 

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Team player
  • Organized and ability to work without supervision
  • Proficient in computer programmes, eg. Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Good typing skills
  • Knowledge of tourism sector.

 

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Certified Professional Secretary designation
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in a similar capacity.

  • Any equivalent Combination of Qualifications and Experience
