Assistant Manager, Digital Currency Department

CORE FUNCTIONS

• Develop, execute and provide direct support for, and participation in SandDollar outreach programmes to identify and onboard new merchants, and customers to SandDollar-enabled interoperable platforms. This includes, but is not limited to, engagement with government agencies, private entities, retailer associations, schools and civic organisations, and the public. This effort is designed to meet targeted objectives for enrollment and ongoing SandDollar usage and supported by direct on-site and in-field operations.
• Assist with providing targeted field training for merchants, retailers, and the public on the benefits of the central bank digital currency (CBDC), its ease of use, safety and ability to create an ecosystem for financial inclusion.
• Conduct scheduled and ad hoc outreach campaigns and participate in public-facing engagements as part of the Central Bank's overall adoption strategy for SandDollar and product integration.
• Spearhead nation-wide SandDollar events to promote high-level merchant and consumer awareness. This will require frequent travel to Family Islands, often in collaboration with authorized financial institutions, to promote SandDollar awareness, adoption and usage.
• Retain direct merchant and retailer relationships to satisfy merchant and customer experiences expectations.
• Collect, report, and resolve (where possible) merchant and customer queries and concerns around the Bank's suite of physical and digital currency products.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Master's degree in marketing, product management, communication, or a related discipline
• General knowledge of Fintech, CBDC, project management, Information Technology, marketing
• Working knowledge of Fintech space, social media platforms, communication, currency, and numismatic items
• Sound knowledge of banking laws and central banking
• A general understanding of IT applications and their lifecycles
• Working knowledge of spreadsheet applications and statistical software packages, network analysis software packages and data visualisation software.
• Three (3) years of related or transferrable experience at the supervisory level.
