Deputy Manager

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain the Bank's financial accounting and control processes by promoting the timely and accurate recording, measurement, and reporting of the Bank's financial position.
• Organize the administrative accounting functions, including budgeting, payroll, and oversight of the staff pension funds and related programmes, such as employee savings plan and lending schemes.
• Manage the Bank’s goods and services procurement programme. This includes the development, maintenance, and review of associated policies and procedures to promote a robust governance structure.
• Contribute to the overall management of the Finance Department, including staff development and bench strength support.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
• Professional Accountant designation (CPA/ACCA/CGA/CA).
• Five (5) years managerial experience in accounting.
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Sound knowledge of investment and risk management principles and practices.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Sound knowledge of auditing procedures.
• Sound knowledge of financial sector.
• Basic knowledge of business/contract law.
• Sound knowledge of accounting and spreadsheet applications.
• Basic knowledge of economics.
