The incumbent manages the secure inventory and embossing of credit, debit, and prepaid cards; maintains accurate tracking and distribution logs; ensures the secure destruction of invalid cards; and responds to branch and customer inquiries.

 

Position Overview:

The Embossing Associate, Card Services is responsible for the accurate embossing, sorting, packaging, and distribution of prepaid, credit, gift, and ATM cards for pick-up and delivery. This role also includes the secure destruction of invalid cards, as well as the maintenance of card inventory records, card tracking logs, and the card distribution master file (Excel). 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain dual custody of all cards and prepaid plastic stock, ensuring they are securely stored at all times. 
  • Monitor and track credit and prepaid card inventory to ensure adequate stock is always maintained. 
  • Accurately emboss all Card files ensuring the correct plastic is used for each product. products
  • Ensure timely and accurate embossing of all monthly renewals for prepaid and credit cards before the end of each month. 
  • Package embossed cards in sealed envelopes and prepare them for branch distribution under dual custody, maintaining security until collected by messengers. 
  • Creates and maintains accurate tracking sheets for card distribution to branches, along with a daily mail log to confirm messenger delivery and branch receipt. 
  • Document, verify, and physically destroy all returned or invalid cards under dual custody, recording all required details including date, time, branch, cardholder name, card number, and reason for destruction. 
  • Ensure Debit cards are embossed accurately and uniquely, avoiding duplication across all branches.
  • Maintain and update card tracking log daily to ensure proper location of All printed cards.
  • Responds to branch and customer inquiries by promptly providing accurate information or, when necessary, escalating the matter to the appropriate Supervisor for timely resolution or further clarification. 

 

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Associate degree or ABIFS certificate. 
  • In-depth knowledge of specific branch and bank policies, procedures, and bank services to appropriately direct and service customers. 
  • Knowledge of specific governmental and banking laws regarding improper practices such as money laundering and suspicious transactions. 
  • Proficient in using computers, including core banking systems, internal networks, and email communication platforms. 
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in all tasks. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in efficient and accurate data entry. 
  • Capable of operating a wide range of office equipment, including computers, calculators, printers, fax machine, and photocopiers, in a fast-paced work environment.
