Bequia Beach Hotel is seeking a passionate, creative, and experienced Executive Chef with strong managerial abilities, exceptional culinary talent, and a deep understanding of Caribbean island culture and logistics.

 

In this role, you will oversee the entire kitchen operation which consists of 2 Restaurants —including menu development, team leadership, and financial performance.

The ideal candidate is a motivated, energetic, organized, and innovative leader who thrives in a dynamic environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a team of local kitchen staff
  • Develop innovative menus and signature dishes that reflect Caribbean flavors and elevate guest experiences
  • Maintain high standards in food preparation, presentation, and consistency
  • Monitor inventory, place orders, and work closely with the warehouse manager to source fresh, high-quality, cost-effective ingredients
  • Implement staffing schedules and manage payroll aligned to occupancy levels
  • Uphold strict hygiene, health, and safety protocols
  • Manage food and labor costs in line with financial targets
  • Oversee training, coaching, and development to build a high-performing team
  • Maintain stock levels and ensure proper storage, stock rotation, and waste reduction
  • Receive guest feedback and resolve complaints with professionalism
  • Coordinate monthly inventory counts and ensure accurate reporting
  • Establish and enforce kitchen policies and procedures
  • Use computer systems for planning and kitchen operations; knowledge of Adagio software is a plus

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role at a 4- or 5-star luxury resort in the Caribbean
  • Proven leadership in building and motivating local teams
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Creativity, innovation, and a passion for delivering memorable culinary experiences

 

The successful candidate must be able to live and work in the Caribbean Islands.

The position is available from early October and includes single accommodation.

Salary and package will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
